Day 8 of 20 - Autumnal Equinox Series: RAISE YOUR VIBRATION

Everything in our universe is made up of energy, and all energy vibrates at different frequencies. It’s science. Even solid objects are made up of vibrational energy fields at the quantum level - including us. We are beings that are made up of different energy levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, and each of these levels has a vibrational frequency which combine to create our overall vibration of being. When our vibration is low, we feel sad, angry, jealous, resentful, tired. Those emotions lower our immune systems and can create illness. When our vibration is higher, we feel more relaxed, secure, peaceful, loving, and this helps to strengthen our immune systems.

So what does it actually mean when we talk about vibes, raising your vibration, keeping your vibe high, etc.?

It means putting the things into practice that create feelings of love, feeling at ease and at peace. Doing the things that make us happy and make us feel good about ourselves and the world around us. Life will never be perfect, but keeping our vibrations high strengthens our fortitude to be able to handle the challenges that life throws at us with a little more ease and grace.

All the suggestions being posted during the Autumn Equinox Series are excellent suggestions for keeping your vibe high (so stay tuned for the rest and catch up on the ones before if you missed them!) but there are some other simple ways to manifest a higher vibration:

MUSIC. 
Play some upbeat music. A song can bring us to a very specific memory and recreate the emotions associated with that moment in an instant. Play some upbeat music that you most associate with love, great memories, fun, and that make you want to move in your seat or get up and dance!

DANCE! 
Dancing in the kitchen and singing with a turkey baster as a microphone is a secret joy of mine - give it a try! (Well, not so secret anymore…)

LOVE. 
Close your eyes and imagine feeling the most love you’ve ever felt in your life. Imagine the feeling of complete safety, wrapped in loving arms and feeling completely supported, of being totally protected from any type of harm, feeling the most unconditional love than you ever have in your entire life, and knowing for certain that nothing will ever take that love away because it’s perfect and forever. That is the divine spark that already exists inside each and every one of us that only you can give to yourself. Give yourself permission to feel this unconditionally, forgiving yourself for any of your mistakes (because they’re all just lessons anyway) and for all the times you didn’t show yourself this love. This is available to us anytime we want it - isn’t that amazing? Close your eyes and give yourself permission to feel it. To believe it. Know that you deserve it. It takes a little practice, but it’s the most valuable and purest gift you can give to yourself, and is a surefire way to raise your vibration probably more than anything else in the world. And it’s a mini meditation!

READ.
Read a story or watch a movie with a happy ending. Yeah, they’re corny, but who cares - sometimes we need the feelings of hope and happiness it stirs up inside of us.

PERFORM AN ACT OF KINDNESS.
Do something kind for someone that’s completely unexpected. Give a compliment. Let someone know you’re thinking of them. You have no idea how much this can make someone’s day, and they might even pay it forward and make someone else’s. Kindness is contagious.

RESPOND WITH LOVE. 
Pause before answering. Respond instead of react. Think before you speak. You’ll feel so much better with the outcome. Vibration raised.

PET YOUR DOG.
If you have one… or pet someone else’s. Take one for a walk. The fresh air and movement will do you both good, and the dog will love you even more for it. Dogs are the best givers of unconditional love!

BELIEVE THE GOOD.
So many people find it easier to believe all the bad things. There really is so much good happening out in the world and in our communities that’s getting unnoticed because we’re distracted by the bad. BELIEVE the good things that are taking place. Good things by good people with pure intentions and no ulterior motive or agenda. Seek them out - they’re everywhere. There are SO many of these good people in the world. Believe the good. Be one of them.
