WEEKLY MALA MEDITATION - THROAT CHAKRA

This is week 5 of 7 of the Chakra System, and this one is all about the Throat Chakra!

THROAT CHAKRA
Name: Vishuddha
Color: Blue, Turquoise
Mantra: Ham
Element: Akashi (space)
Location: Throat
Stones/Crystals: Blue Lapiz Lazuli, Amazonite, Turquoise, Sapphire

The fifth of the seven chakras is located at the throat and is associated with how we communicate with others and using our voice to speak our truth. It is the connection between the heart and the head. When this chakra is out of balance, we might feel too shy or afraid to speak, feel a lump in our throat, be too talkative, or even manipulative and hurtful with your words. When this chakra is in balance, you are able to listen as much as you speak, communicate clearly, effectively, and honestly, and your words come from a place of love.

Ways to support your throat chakra include: singing; chanting; listening; speaking your truth from a place of love; drink warm tea; wear blue clothes/jewelry; eat blueberries; wear or hold a healing stone/crystal associated with the throat chakra; use the affirmations in this post.

HOW TO USE YOUR MALA:
Starting next to the guru bead, move your fingers from one counting bead to the next as you say the affirmations in the photo. Once you’ve returned to the guru bead, you have completed a full meditation!

Full Buck Moon 2021

May be an image of nature and sky

The Full Buck Moon, also known as Thunder Moon, will be a sight to behold tomorrow night (7/23/21) in our neck of the woods in Western New York since we’re expecting a perfectly clear day and evening! It will take on a reddish hue due to the environmental effects of the fires out west which have also been giving our sunsets some interesting and unusual visual effects as well.

Put your stones, crystals and Malas out by the light of the moon to clear and restore their energies, and get yourself out there to do the same for your own energetic clearing and restoration! Go barefoot for additional grounding effects which have profound healing benefits. Take some deep, restorative breaths and let yourself absorb all of the healing energies provided by the moon, the earth, the air, and the universe itself. You are a piece of our great universe and are worthy of everything it has to offer.

MORE love...

LOVE.

May be an image of one or more people and text that says 'We've been infected with this idea that love is an emotion only felt between two people. But love is universal. an energy. a contagious force. a gift. To offer money to a homeless man is to love. To save a worm from the sun is to love. Το smile at a stranger is love. To be grateful, to be hopeful, to be brave, to be forgiving, to be proud, is to love. a.r.lucas'

LOVE is universal. Love is divine energy. Love is healing. Our hearts have an unlimited capacity for love. Continuing to love despite the pain endured in life is a true superpower!

WEEKLY MALA MEDITATION - THE HEART CHAKRA

This is week 4 of 7 of the Chakra System, and this one is all about the Heart Chakra!

HEART CHAKRA
Name: Ahahata
Color: Green, Pink
Mantra: Yam
Element: Air
Location: Heart
Stones/Crystals: Green Aventurine, Rose Quartz, Emerald, Rhodonite

The fourth of the seven chakras is at the centermost point of all the chakras. It is associated with love, compassion, forgiveness, and peace. This is the chakra most affected by grief and loss. When this chakra is out of balance, you may feel jealous, resentful, lonely, clingy, or depressed. When this chakra is in balance, you are compassionate, forgiving, have unconditional love of self, and accept yourself just as you are which also makes it easier to accept others just as they are.

To support your heart chakra, give yourself unconditional love and forgiveness. Give yourself the love that you always hoped you would receive from someone else. We are responsible for loving ourselves in this way. Treat yourself like you would treat the love of your life, because that is what you are. Other ways to support your heart chakra include wearing green or pink clothes/jewelry; eat foods of the same color; wear or hold a healing stone/crystal associated with the heart chakra; use the affirmations in this post.

HOW TO USE YOUR MALA:
Starting next to the guru bead, move your fingers from one counting bead to the next as you say the affirmations in the photo. Once you’ve returned to the guru bead, you have completed a full meditation!

WEEKLY MALA MEDITATION - SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA

This is week #3 of 7 of the Chakra System, and this one is all about the Solar Plexus Chakra!

SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA
Name: Manipura
Color: Yellow
Mantra: Ram
Element: Fire
Location: Center of lower rib age
Stones/Crystals: Yellow Fire Agate, Citrine

The third of the seven chakras is associated with our self esteem, temperament, and confidence. Think of it in terms of solar energy, like you have a piece of the sun inside of you and its energy radiates from your solar plexus out into the rest of your body. It is also the area where we hold our stress which can affect our digestion. When this chakra is out of balance, you might feel short-tempered, have a poor appetite or digestion, feel anxious, or a need to control everyone and everything around you. When this chakra is in balance, you have self-control and are comfortable with the fact that you are only in control of yourself, you feel at peace with life, and have good self-esteem.

Ways to support your solar plexus chakra: spend time in the sunshine; eat something spicy; wear yellow or gold clothing/jewelry; eat foods of the same color; wear or hold a healing stone/crystal associated with this chakra; use affirmations like the ones in this post.

HOW TO USE YOUR MALA:
Starting next to the guru bead, move your fingers from one counting bead to the next as you say the affirmations in the photo. Once you’ve returned to the guru bead, you have completed a full meditation!

July 8, 2021

Right in line with this week’s theme: The Sacral Chakra… I’ve been feeling ALL the feelings lately and feeling quite uncomfortable with them, until I reminded myself that I’ve come a long way to allow this process to happen, as uncomfortable as it is, without attempting to numb myself with a drink, with disassociation, with shopping, or some other distraction. To allow the feelings to be whatever they are and flow with them instead of against them. To recognize what they are trying to tell me:

• Take one thing at a time.
• I don’t have to solve all the problems at once.
• Acknowledge that grief is still present with the approaching dates of this month.
• Solo parenting will always be challenging (and rewarding).
• Flares are only temporary.
• And finally, that some deep breaths can help quickly regulate my nervous system.

Getting comfortable with feeling uncomfortable allows us to grow. Growth is not always the clean and pretty process like portrayed by some. It’s messy and uncomfortable and sometimes pretty painful. And it’s okay to allow yourself to feel it all.

What is your discomfort trying to tell you?

WEEKLY MALA MEDITATION - THE SACRAL CHAKRA

Last week I introduced the Chakra system, and our healing affirmations were focused on the Root Chakra. This week is all about the Sacral Chakra!

THE SACRAL CHAKRA
Name: Svadisthana
Color: Orange
Mantra: Vam
Element: Water
Location: Below the navel
Stones/Crystals: Orange Carnelian, Tiger Eye

The second of the seven chakras is associated with our creativity and sexual energy. It’s association with water relates to fluidity, freedom of expression, and flow of emotion. It represents our ability to find joy in life, express ourselves fully, and the giving and receiving of unconditional love. When this chakra is out of balance, you might be hyper focused on pleasure, unwilling to witness yourself with honesty, overindulge, or be dependent on others for your needs. When this chakra is in balance, you feel free to be creative and expressive, loved, and emotionally level.

Ways to support your sacral chakra: dancing and singing; spending time near the water such as oceans, rivers, or lakes; journaling; doing something playful; wearing orange clothing; eating foods of the same color; wearing or holding a healing stone/crystal associated with the sacral chakra; use affirmations like the ones in this post.

This Sacral Chakra Mala is made with sandalwood counting beads, Tiger Eye counting beads, cedar wood Buddha guru bead, silky red cord, and red cotton tassel.

HOW TO USE YOUR MALA:
Starting next to the guru bead, move your fingers from one counting bead to the next as you say the affirmations in the photo. Once you’ve returned to the guru bead, you have completed a full meditation!

You see what you seek...

The more you look for the good in your life and in the world, the more you will find!
You are worthy happiness and love. Give yourself permission to feel it- it’s medicine for mind, body and spirit!

WEEKLY MALA MEDITATION - THE ROOT CHAKRA

THE ROOT CHAKRA

Name: Muladhara
Color: Red
Mantra: Lam
Element: Earth
Location: Base of the spine
Stones/Crystals: Garnet, Black Tourmaline, Jasper, Obsidian, Onyx

The first of the seven chakras located at the base of the spine opens downward connecting the energy body with the earth. It represents our foundation/roots, and symbolizes fundamental issues like shelter, safety, security, water, food, and family. When this chakra is out of balance, you might be arrogant, greedy, or disconnected from others, yourself, or life in general. When this chakra is in balance, you feel secure, safe, stable, and have a certain amount of reverence for the earth and all it provides for us.

Ways to support your root chakra: engaging in grounding activities such as walking barefoot outside or using visualization techniques that help you to connect with the earth’s energy; wearing red and eating foods of the same color; wearing or holding a healing stone/crystal associated with the root chakra; using grounding affirmations like the ones in this post.

This Root Chakra Mala is made with sandalwood counting beads, lava stone counting beads, cedar wood Buddha guru bead, silky red cord, and red cotton tassel.

HOW TO USE YOUR MALA:
