WEEKLY MALA MEDITATION
Whatever our unique situations are during our formative years, we become conditioned to learn the best ways to get love from those closest to us. “Boundaries” wasn’t a concept I understood when growing up. I learned more about these in adulthood, and sometimes it’s still an exercise to keep them in place. When you don’t learn boundaries as a child, it’s more challenging to incorporate them into your life as an adult, so forgive yourself for not knowing what you might be just figuring out.
Here are some signs of healthy boundaries: saying no without guilt; asking for what you want or need; taking care of yourself; saying yes because you want to, not out of obligation or to please others; behaving according to your own values and beliefs; feeling safe to disagree, and to express difficult emotions; feeling supported to pursue your own goals; being treated as an equal; taking responsibility for your own happiness; not taking responsibility for someone else’s happiness, decisions, or choices; being in tune with your own feelings; knowing who you are, what you believe, and what you like. Our affirmations today will incorporate a few of these.
HOW TO USE YOUR MALA:
Starting next to the guru bead, move your fingers from one counting bead to the next as you say the affirmations. Once you’ve returned to the guru bead, you have completed a full meditation!

THE INNER CHILD.
It’s important to realize that our parents are human, and the way they learned to express their love is not a reflection of who we are. They might not realize they have a lifetime of their own traumas and negative conditioning that has gone unhealed and, therefore, unintentionally pass it down. Although they may have done their best, we might not have gotten what we needed from them. Even if they didn’t repeat the same mistakes that were done to them while they were growing up, they will inevitably make a whole new set, as all of us parents do since we are all imperfect beings and are learning as we go. As adults, it’s now up to us to heal ourselves, to unlearn our negative conditioning and “re-parent our inner child.” This can bring healing in every aspect of your life- in mind, body and spirit- as well as benefit your own children if you have any.

GROUNDING.

Grounding (also known as “earthing”) involves activities that reconnect you energetically to the Earth. Grounding helps to reset and recharge our energy to a healthier state. This is primarily accomplished by going barefoot on the ground outside, but grounding can be established in many different ways; visualization being one of them. Since mind, body and spirit are all connected, visualization can have as much as a physical effect as an emotional and spiritual effect to provide a myriad of benefits. Grounding is also beneficial to the root and sacral chakras. Grounding using visualization is particularly useful during the winter when the ground is covered in ice and snow. Read more about grounding in this article in the B2B Blog.

MONDAY MORNING MALA MEDITATION - March 1, 2021

BEING PRESENT.

Being “present” is giving a moment your undivided attention without your mind wandering to something in the past or future. It’s the conscious state of being in the here and now. So many moments pass us by without us even realizing it. We’re half there, and the other half of us is mentally running down our To Do list or just checked out, and we barely remember the moment when it’s over. Today's affirmations will help us to make the conscious effort to be more present, and in doing this, we will have more appreciation for the moments we would have otherwise missed. It’s also a very effective way to significantly reduce anxiety!

May be an image of text that says 'BEING PRESENT. •I will not live in the past. I will not worry about the future. I will be present in the here and now. I will enjoy this moment beeee it passes passes by. Bridge To Balance LLC'
