Tonight will be one of only two Super Moons for 2021! Though it’s called the Super Pink Moon, it won’t actually look pink; it gets its name from the herb pink moss (also known as creeping phlox, moss phlox or mountain phlox) which is one of the earliest spring flowers appearing in the US according to the Farmer’s Almanac. How cool would it be if it really WAS pink?!
If you’re lucky to have clear skies for viewing, look for it on the eastern horizon!
